Underfloor Heating Online

Enjoy walking barefoot around your home... feel the warmth beneath your toes... and banish those old raggedy slippers.

Heat your home in comfort, style and best of all – in a cost effective manner.

In most cases, underfloor heating is installed on top of a sub-floor material and underneath your floor surface material prior to tiling or re-tiling an area in your home. When running, the system emits a low level of even heat through the floor surface material and from there the heat radiates upward - thus heating your floor and room.

How it works:

Tile and stone flooring can utilise various underfloor heating products – the choice comes down to the type of room, shape, and requirements you are after. We offer three options for under-floor heating, including:

  1. Loose Wire System (various wattage) – ideal for quick and easy installation in irregular shaped areas such as bathrooms and kitchens.
  2. Heating Mats (150 & 200 wattage) – perfect for heating up large or regular-shaped rooms such as living areas and bedrooms.
  3. Inscreed Cable System – excellent for simple installation within screeded floors of any size.

Each come with easy and quick installation instructions (or download the guide here), which is suited to DIY or we can arrange to do with our supply and fit service.

Thermostats:

There is even a choice in how you wish to control your underfloor heating system. The three options include:

  1. Manual Thermostat – simple and enables you to target your desired comfort levels. Perfect for those rooms which don't benefit from having a setheating program.
  2. Programmable Thermostat – easy to use and allows you to programme in start and end times and temperatures that would suit.
  3. 3iE Thermostat – first fully interactive touch technology which allows you to view graphs of your recorded energy consumption against costs. This mean you will know exactly what your underfloor heating running costs are. Available in seven different colours which will suit any taste.

Benefits:

  1. No need for inefficient and cumbersome radiators.

Due to fact that heat rises, radiators promote heat loss through windows, walls, ceilings and roofs, and can be ineffective at heating an entire room. Usually, the area directly surrounding the radiator is toasty warm, whilst the remaining room area does not benefit from the heat source. Furthermore, radiators can take up essential space particularly in smaller rooms which can be limiting.

  1. Reduced heating costs.

With the rising cost of maintaining and powering radiators it is becoming more cost effective to utilise energy sources such as electricity, (particularly with solar panelling), as opposed to oil or gas. From 2003, gas prices have risen as much as 92% whilst electricity prices have only increased by 54% in the same period. A Warmup system for a typical UK bathroom uses less power/hour than two 100-watt light bulbs.

  1. Better for the environment.

Choosing to power the system with cleaner renewable sources such as solar panels will radically cut your CO2 omissions, which is a huge step in reducing climate change and preserving our environment for future generations. Even utilising traditional electricity with Warmup will drastically reduce consumption

  1.   Quick heat-up times and efficient room selection.

Heat up only the rooms you need and quickly. The system reaches operating temperature in 20 minutes - which is a lot faster than other heating methods such as water-based underfloor heating systems or traditional radiators. The zoning feature also allows you to control which rooms are heated – saving inefficient wastage in unused rooms.

  1. Easier cleaning and enhanced hygiene.

Dries freshly mopped floors quickly, and drastically reduces home moisture content which in turn eliminates allergen irritants such as dust mites that require moist environments in order to survive. Perfect for home owners whom experience breathing difficulties, allergies or asthma.

Each underfloor heating product comes with a lifetime warranty.
